Getting a guest artist job is kinda like taking a vacation, but you are going to someone else's theatre to do a job. So, it is work. It is fun because you are in a new space with new, creative minds. It is difficult because you might not know where the location of the hardware store. For sure, sooner or later you find out where the best ice cream is, and where the local watering hole is. It is all part of getting into the rhythm of a new place.

Hey, Michèle! How are you? How is your art? I'm gearing up for the start of a new school term and designing two professional theatre productions as well as the academic productions. Lot of new students to meet. Thank you for asking!

You are a true business woman! How do you find any time to have an artistic activity?

Oh, my Dear Michèle, I struggle with my time so that I can create stage designs for professional theatre companies. I love working with different creative teams. I love preparing my students for the entertainment industry, showing them the ropes. I regret the fact that I do not have the time (yet) to draw and paint illustrations of my favourite stories, or even yesterday's sunset which was so inspirational.  Well, Nothing is perfect! I am pleased that I had the time to SEE the sunset!
